title: So it started with a pill.

I think this story deserves to be heard.
There was this woman, she stepped in the pharmacy, and had this worried look on her face. By her look itself, I kind of sensed that she didn't want a simple cough syrup or any of those medication. She was the one who spoke first "Saya nak tanya skit boleh?" Kamal was absent today, and if I was alone, I would've panicked, but K.Hanis was there, so I asked the woman to consult with K.Hanis, and their conversation started with me listening by the side.
She pulled out a pill. White, oblong, packed in a transparent sealed plastic, with the only clue of identification is the '6800MG' mark on both sides. She started with a "What is this for?", and for the next 15 minutes, we were exposed to the dilema she was currently facing.
The story starts with the fact her husband is in the hospital, heart failure. Three chambers are blocked, and he's relying 20% on the remaining chamber left. He's taking all sorts of medication, but this one pill looks frighteningly suspicious. She found the pill in a very hidden place, while tidying up his stuff in the hospital, and she saw him ate it once, in a manner as if he's trying to hide the fact he's consuming medication that she does not know about. She's worried, because the packaging is suspicious, and the husband's 68 years old and still wants a child. She's assuming it's one of those Viagra generics with the purpose to 'you know what', but she wants a confirmation from an expert.
She was on the verge of crying, but she controlled her emotions well. She looks very decent and well mannered, and most importantly very worried about her husband's condition, and medication consumption and the reason for it all. She suspects that maybe THAT pill caused the heart problem, which is possible for a dose that high. I mean, even panadol has a 500mg dosage. Most of the strong pills in the pharmacy (and I've ever heard) has a dose within the range of 5mg til 800mg tops. 6800mg? That's quite...overwhelming. So it makes sense for a dose that high to become a 'drive' for something that is failing.
I tried googling drugs with high dosages, and most of them are like Viagra based, but does not look exactly like the pill that the woman showed, so I can't make a statement yet, but hopefully I can, and hopefully it helps that married couple for a chance of honesty. Labels: charlie you look so down, listen to my heartbeat
