title: Racism
date: Monday, April 25, 2011 @ 9:17 PM
I live in a multiracial community, I go to a multiracial school, and I have multiracial friends. I don't find racism as something common since we're all people here, and even if someone did want to accuse someone else of racism, it would've been racist towards Chinese, or Indians... not black.
A black guy walked in the Pharmacy today, and for some apparent reason, I'm at the Pill counter, and so I walked towards him, and when he came closer, I walked backwards, like I always do, so that person can walk towards the counter to Kamal, and he can take over for whatever hard medication that I don't know about. But for some reason, this guy got offended by me doing that. He was like.
"Are you running away from me?....Because I'm Black?"
That was like the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, I literally laughed right there. I said "No, I'm sorry" and I walked towards him and asked what he wanted. He wanted a blood test which we currently cannot carry out because we don't have those strips, and I ended up telling the guy to go to another Pharmacy.
I find it very ridiculous for my first racist accusation to be a black community racism, because a lot of Black guys walk in our Pharmacy and we have no problem with that- I have no problem with that. I understand MediU is just around the corner, so a lot of Black guys are within the area.
I'm offended, Mr. Black guy, by your racist comment accusing me Racist. Even if I were running away from you, is because you look terrifyingly huge, not because you're black. Labels: charlie you look so down, listen to my heartbeat
